OPPO Find X review
Recently, we have increasingly felt not very excited in regards to the designs of the various smartphones being released onto the market. The OPPO company generally has often placed itself among the most innovative when it comes to the design of its devices and smartphones. So, when they released the details about their newest smartphone OPPO Find X a few weeks ago, there were obvious interests in what their new device was offering.
As I can confirm, there is plenty to be excited about the new smartphone. I can describe the OPPO Find X smartphone simply as beautiful, innovative and of course, expensive.
With the OPPO Find X, OPPO has continued on its paths of introducing new innovation to its smartphones brand. Just like other smartphones brands are trying to move towards smartphones that have only the screen on their front, OPPO has managed to implement this. Of course, having just a screen on the smartphone’s front has posed its own problems. It means that there is a need for new innovations or solutions to be implemented to incorporate the camera facing the front apart from other hardware. Subsequently, here is the OPPO find x review that takes a closer look at the smartphone and the solution or features it provides.

OPPO Find X features
With the Find X smartphone, OPPO has incorporated or implemented a design that is quite exceptional and unique. The design elements incorporated are not what you usually identify the smartphones in the market with.
OPPO Find X on the front is virtually all-screen. The bezels around the phone’s screen are very nearly non-existent. In fact, the display size which is 6.4-inch constitutes about 93.8% of the smartphones front surface. Because there is no notch that means some creativity or solution was required to be able to incorporate or build the phone’s front-facing camera.
Unlike the design element incorporated by Vivo in its NEX smartphone involving a popup selfie camera that is little and tiny, OPPO has taken a wildly different route.
Instead of just having a single camera that pops up or appears suddenly out of the phone frame, the OPPO Find X has a pop up that covers the smartphone’s entire width. The pop up does not just feature the camera facing the front. When closed, this particular mechanism is able to conceal the phones back dual camera system. This means that anytime you want to access or use the cameras then when you launch a function or app that requires access to the camera, the mechanism is able to slide up instantly. When you are done, the mechanism slides up again. This motion is pleasing, smooth and is relatively quick.
The glass finish that has been implemented in the design of the smartphone is eye-catching. A multi-layer process is incorporated. The glacier blue and the Bordeaux red (more like red and purple colors) models are able to adapt and change depending on the lighting conditions.
Looking at the design of the smartphone, it is really well-designed, and it is a premium device for sure.
The display is gorgeous and enormous
Looking at the screen size that is 6.42-inch OLED with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9, the display is indeed gorgeous and huge. The screen is immersive apart from the fact that you will be presented with lots of contrast and vivid colors.
The display size is definitely great for those who like playing games and fans of movies,TV and multimedia content generally. Looking at the display, it certainly looks attractive and serves its functional purpose very well.
3D face recognition and Omoji
A fingerprint sensor is one key feature that is missing from the smartphone and that is deliberate. The reason is that this phone model is promising to offer facial recognition capabilities that can give Apple’s FaceID a run for its money.
Not only is the front-facing camera able to be revealed when the mechanism slides up. The different depth and IR sensors are able to combine to scan and create pictures in 3D. Different data points are able to be recognized and scanned and that includes visual data apart from depth. This makes it secure for the purpose of unlocking the phone as well as authenticating payments and purchases.
If that feature is not exciting enough for you, it is possible to have some fun too with its Omoji feature. It is essentially an Animoji, but it has been named an Omoji to give it the OPPO flavor. The concept is the same as you may have seen with Samsung and Apple. With the Omoji feature, you are able to use a preset character or animal and consequently animate them by employing the uses of facial expressions, or you can create emoji character in custom 3D just like with Samsung and Apple’s emoji creations.
Power and Speed
OPPO smartphones in the past have often incorporated the use of mid-range processors for the purpose of keeping the costs down. With this new product that is no longer the case. The company has employed the use of the Snapdragon 845 processor and paired it with a RAM of 8GB. In theory, this should really mean that the device is fast and also provided that the software does not interfere.
Even if you happen to be the busiest person alive, this particular battery capacity will serve you accordingly. The capacity is better compared to most flagships. Additionally, the smartphone incorporates the use of the VOOC fast charging mechanism or technology. The smartphone is one of the fastest in terms of charging in the market.
